The scouts went up Spanish Fork Canyon for an over night camp out. We went to the Diamond Fork Hot Springs. We camped out in the canyon 6 miles below the trail head to the springs. We set up camp and ate our tin foil dinners really fast so we could hit the hot springs for a midnight dip.
All ten of us piled into our YM's first counselor's truck. All the leaders in the car, and all the scouts in the bed of the truck.
We got to the trail head. Then hiked two miles to the hot springs. I took my i pod and my computer speakers and Kason and I jammed out for the next hour long hike to the hot springs.
When we got there we stripped down to our bathing suits. We hopped into the steaming hot springs. When we got in, there was this one guy over in the corner. He wasn't talking and seemed to be trying to stay out of site. We later found out that he was a nudist! When he left... which was pretty fast after we got there, the leaders thought it would be funny to get us all scared with ghost stories for the hour long hike in the dark back to the car.
When we got done soaking in the springs we decided to change down by the creek. Rich, aka, Young Men's President, was changing his clothes. Just as a sheriff was coming up to give tickets to people that weren't wearing any clothes. The sheriff shined her light right in his eyes and started to yell at him to put his clothes on !!! The light was right in his eyes and he thought it was the scouts messing around with him, so he stared to YELL at the sheriff to stop shining the light on him so he could change. Lucky for him our other leader talked to the sheriff so he did not get a ticket. for indecent exposure!!
When we got back to camp I got into my tent and got all ready to got to bed. One of my scout leaders thought it would be funny to throw water through the top of my tent so I would get all wet. Being the person I am, I started a war with him. One thing led to an other and the next thing I knew was I was sleeping outside with my leader, Jordan. We wrestled all night and watched a movie on my little ipod screen. We had a great time!!!!!
That next morning I woke up before Jordan who had slept out with me. I planned to get him back for the night before. I took a bottle of water and dumped it all over his face. That woke him up!
We ate a LITTLE breakfast, because Brad Blanchard didn't think that we would eat a lot of food ,and he only brought twelve pieces of bacon and twelve eggs for Ten hungry scouts.
When we were eating, some of us wanted to go up to the springs and some of the scouts wanted to leave and go home. So we split. Some of us went home, and some l of us headed out for another dip in the springs. Of course i stayed and went to the hot springs. It was soooo worth it !! We found a two huge waterfalls and five other hot spings. IT WAS THE SOAK 'O THE YEAR
